Traditional Proofing

A&H Lithoprint provides Epson color proofs for content proofing and Veris proofs for match proofs.

Monitor Proofing

Monitor Proofing is streamlining the prepress workflow for the graphic arts community. A&H Lithoprint is leading this revolutionary workflow transition with its Blue Dot Instant Proof™ and Blue Dot Match Print Proof™.

Veris™ Proofer

This new 4-color contract proofer sets a new standard for inkjet proofing, producing consistent, repeatable, high-resolution 4-up contone proofs. Based on Creo-developed Multi-Drop Array inkjet imaging, the Veris proofer produces a controlled stream of precisely-formed and placed dots at 1500 x 1500 dpi, for high-quality proofs that are accurate predictors of the final printed job. Veris delivers superior color with fine text, linework, vignettes, shadows, and highlight detail. Color standards organizations have certified the Veris system’s color accuracy. Veris is SWOP certified, PANTONE‚ qualified, SICOGIF (France) certified, FOGRA (Germany) certified, and PPA (UK) accredited.

Online Proofing

PDF proofing is available and can easily shorten the time to proof your project.

Asset Management

A&H Lithoprint maintains archives of your projects making it easy for you to order reprints and for us to repurpose your digital files for your mixed media campaigns.

Color Management

After years of research, A&H Lithoprint has decided to simplify color management for our clients. There are several different approaches to color management. A&H color manages by ensuring that our presses are running to density and to bring each press into a specific tolerance. Test forms are then printed on the press and printed to the densities as outlined by the SWOP standards. The form is also printed on the Stylist Pro 9000 after it is calibrated.

There are many different methods of profiling presses for color management. Ultimately, the client will make the final decision on how they see and want their project to look. This is why we highly recommend press checks. (Visit our Education Library to view “What to do at a Press Check.”

Stochastic Printing from A&H Lithoprint

Stochastic printing, also called frequency modulation (FM) screening, uses small (10, 20, or 25 Micron), same size dots in a random pattern and varies the density of the dot to create an image that is closer to continuous tone. Read More >>

Direct-To-Plate

A&H Lithoprint was one of the first sheet-fed printers in Chicago to acquire the direct-to-plate technology over six years ago.
A&H Lithoprint uses the CreoScitex Trendsetter 3244+E with Brisque Pro, Brisque Impose for direct-to-plate technology. What this means for our clients is faster processing and set-up time to press runs for those ultra quick turn projects.
